Business Cooperation
Building the Lacquer Industry Together
Four cooperation areas serving partners across China and beyond; whichever market you are in, there is a matching point of contact.
In-depth co-branding for premium brands and designers: design by our iF Design Award-winning team with ICH craftsmanship behind it, exclusive colour development, exclusive supply of co-branded items and joint development.
Omni-channel recruitment covering regional franchise, key accounts, supermarket and cultural tourism channels, and e-commerce platforms: full store package, regional protection, drop shipping and livestream supply — expanding the lacquer market across multiple channels.
Export of raw lacquer and lacquerware, with support for export orders, customs declaration and testing, and overseas customisation — bringing Eastern lacquer to the world.
Lacquer study programmes for primary and secondary schools, universities, cultural tourism organisations and corporate groups: lacquer grove visits, tapping experience, lacquerware workshops, master lectures and ICH exhibition hall tours. We also host training programmes led by provincial-level ICH inheritors.
More than 5,000 mu of self-owned lacquer groves and over 400,000 lacquer trees, traceable from tapping to canning, with high urushiol content and a test report for every batch.
A provincial-level ICH transmitting organisation led by a Shaanxi Arts and Crafts Master, with an iF Design Award-winning design team — traditional grounding combined with contemporary sensibility.
We took part in drafting two industry standards for the lacquer tree and work with research institutions to standardise raw lacquer, with stable supply and clear specifications.
From a grove of lacquer trees to a single lacquer vessel — understand where Chinese lacquer comes from and where it goes, on site and in the workshop.
More than 5,000 mu of self-owned lacquer groves, a lacquerware workshop and an ICH exhibition hall form a single "grove–vessel–gallery" study site. Participants experience the full traditional sequence: tapping, filtering, colour mixing, lacquering and curing in a humid chamber.
We host primary and secondary school practice programmes, university fine arts and ICH courses, and corporate team-building and Party-building activities throughout the year, and have jointly established "ICH Transmission Teaching Bases" with a number of universities in the province.
One-day and multi-day camp programmes can be customised, with bilingual interpretation available, and participants take their work home.
Walk into the Qinba lacquer groves to learn about the lacquer tree, urushiol and the tapping season, try V-cut tapping alongside lacquer farmers, and take part in primary processing such as filtering and sun-drying the lacquer.
Around the summer solstice, at the right season, ICH inheritors lead small groups in hands-on practice: three cuts to a tree, tapping again every other day — to understand "the heritage at the knife's tip".
Complete a plain-lacquered or polychrome piece in the lacquerware workshop: preparing the wooden body, cloth backing and putty application, lacquering and curing, then burnishing — five core procedures, all hands-on.
Provincial-level ICH inheritors and Arts and Crafts Masters teach on site; visit the Niuwang Guoqi ICH Exhibition Hall and the lacquer art archive, with interpretation of motifs and vessel forms.
