The new anti-counterfeiting traceability QR code is officially live. Scanning the QR code on product packaging allows you to view the origin of the lacquer groves, the lacquer tapping batch, processing records and testing reports; the old anti-counterfeiting code remains valid for queries for one year.

One code from end to end, a visible provenance

The value of natural Chinese lacquer begins in the lacquer groves. Drawing on more than 5,000 mu of lacquer tree bases in Ankang, Shaanxi, as well as in Chengkou, Shangluo, Zhuxi and Enshi, Zhengdaming has established a mechanism for recording the entire process from grove to finished product. Building on this, the new traceability system further opens up the data chain so that the key information of every product can be checked, traced and verified.

What the new traceability code shows

  • Origin of the lacquer groves: the base and plot information of the raw material;
  • Lacquer tapping batch: tapping time, batch number and operators;
  • Processing records: records of key steps including refining, filtration and inspection;
  • Testing report: third-party testing conclusions and key indicators (urushiol content, etc.).

What about old codes

The old anti-counterfeiting codes on the packaging of products already sold remain valid for queries for one year from the date of this announcement, and the validity of the query results is unchanged. Customers are advised to scan and verify their purchase as soon as possible and keep proof of purchase.

Scan the QR code on the product packaging or certificate with your phone and enter the anti-counterfeiting code as prompted to view traceability information and verification results. If scanning fails or the result is in doubt, please contact us through the customer service channels on our official website for verification.
